I am a tea lover. Herbal tea, rooibos, steaming jasmine tea, chai tea, sweet black tea… My current favourite? Earl Grey tea with half a shot of Irish cream!

Canadian company Libre makes dual-walled tea glasses with a glass interior and a durable polycarbonate exterior that keeps tea hot yet remains cool to the touch. All the parts are BPA free, and the stainless steel filter and lid screw off for easy filling and cleaning.
I really like the look of these tea glasses. The glass and poly cylinder has a classic and minimalist look I love, and the lid has a lux gold filigree design that keeps the glass from being too plain. I don’t miss having a handle because my glass never gets too warm for comfort, though Libre does offer a mug version with a handle for those who prefer it. The classic 9 ounce size tea glass that I received for review fits perfectly in my car’s cup holder and in my purse. Yeah, you heard read me correctly – I can carry my tea glass in my purse! No leaks!
How Does the Libre Tea Glass Work?
The two-part lid allows you to make tea two different ways. Put your loose leaf tea in the glass, add hot water, and allow the tea to steep. Then screw the stainless steel filter on to keep the leaves out of your mouth when you drink.
Or, for a tea with limited steeping time, add hot water to the glass, screw the filter on and put the tea on top of the filter. Give it a few minutes for the steam to dissipate, then screw the lid on and turn the glass upside down to steep. When the tea is ready, flip it back over and unscrew both the filter and the lid to drink.

I learned that they are BPA free, that is something I look for.
I was lured to purchase(invest in is probably fairer…as not cheap) the 14 oz. Libretea Glass lined ‘flask’ because of all of those positive attributes mentioned above. I have had a bitter disappointment as I’ve noticed what looks like mould has formed inside just under the seal that lines the outside rim of the screw top rim of the flask itself between the seal (rubber/silicone) and the glass or bicarbonate shell. It also was under the seal inside the lid…but I can take the lid seal out and clean that; the other I cannot . It is very unappealing and probably not really very healthy. I am bitterly disappointed and I feel cheated.

Customer service for Libre tea glass is kind but not helpful
Be warned: this company will not help you if they make a mistake in your order. I placed an order for 6 large tea glasses for Christmas gifts. I spent a fair amount of money buying tea etc for gift boxes for 6 people and yesterday I received the small tea glasses but I had ordered the large. They were kind and apologetic but unable to help me in any way to get the right order to me in time for Christmas. Their warehouse is only 1 hour from where I live but apparently they are too busy to correct their mistake and help to rectify their mistake, they just don’t care. Oh, they will apologize and send a return label but their warehouse is just too busy to correct their error so you are left hanging for your Christmas gifts. I love this product but now not so much. I can not believe that they can not fix their mistake. It is a week from Christmas and their warehouse is only an hours drive from where I live. They just don’t really care. that they screwed up 6 of your gifts. They will refund your purchase and send you a return label. They made the mistake but will do nothing to fix it. Just know if you are ordering from this company for any special gifts or events do not expect them to correct any mistakes they may make in your order. You will be left to figure things out on your own with no help form them.
