Last year, I combed the shelves for weeks in search of one of those Magic Mixies cauldron toys to give to my youngest daughter for Christmas. I didn’t have any luck finding one though, because I’d waited too long to start looking.

The concept is simple, but it’s the process of making the dough and then baking it in the oven to reveal a scented plush pet that’s so engrossing! Each Cookeez Makery Oven Playset comes with 2 ingredient sachets, measuring cup, dough mold, spatula tool, toy oven, and instruction manual – everything kids need to create an adorable plush friend.

When your child first opens the oven door, they’ll find a box of ingredients and a recipe book. Mix up the ingredients to create a dough ball, then use the dough mold and included tools to add features like eyes, mouth, paws, and ears. Pop the dough in the oven and shut the door. The real magic happens during the baking process.

After 90 seconds in the oven, the timer will ding. Opening the oven door reveals the dough has been transformed into a warm and scented interactive plush friend in the shape of a delicious-smelling baked treat! There’s a chance of finding a puppy, kitten, or bunny. Each battery-powered (4 AAA batteries included) plush friend makes adorable sounds and reactions when touched and squeezed.
