Sleep Problems? Try Helight Sleep with Red Light Therapy {Giveaway}

Light exposure plays a vital role in regulating our bodies and minds. For most of human history, we have synchronized our sleep patterns with nature, rising at dawn and going to sleep at sunset. But the advent of electric lights and our modern lifestyles have disrupted that natural sleep-wake rhythm, leading to various sleep-related problems.

You may have heard of red light therapy as an emerging treatment for a variety of skin conditions, but did you know that red light can also improve sleep? Helight Sleep is a patented sleep aid device that uses red light to help people fall asleep faster and promote a deeper, more restful sleep, all while reducing the impact of exposure to blue light from screens at night as well as various sleep disorders.

The result of three years of research and development using data from the most recent studies on the effects of light on sleep, this Helight device emits pure red light at a precise wavelength of 630 nanometers. The light stays on for 14 minutes, then automatically fades out over 14 minutes in a smooth, gradual transition. The 28-minute patented protocol mirrors the natural cycle of light at the end of the day (i.e., sunset), sending a biological signal to the brain that it’s time to go to sleep and to start producing melatonin, the hormone that helps with the timing of circadian rhythms and with sleep.

When you’re ready for bed, turn off all the light sources in your bedroom (including all screens) and turn on your Helight Sleep device. The carefully calibrated wavelength passes through your closed eyelids and is picked up by photosensitive cells, triggering a biological response that helps you relax and signals your body to naturally produce melatonin for a deeper, more restful sleep. If you experience jetlag when travelling, a Helight Sleep can also help you adapt faster to a new time zone and feel better rested.

The Helight’s surprisingly small footprint (about the diameter of a hockey puck) and rechargeable integrated battery make it super portable and easy to take anywhere. A full charge lasts up to 28 light cycles (four weeks), and it even comes with a little cloth bag to neatly organize your Helight and micro USB charging cord when you’re travelling.

Helight for Kids

Of course, adults aren’t the only ones who can have trouble sleeping. Helight can also help improve the quality of your child’s sleep, without the use of medications. Helight Kidzzz adapts the original Helight Sleep device for infants and children using the same revolutionary technology, but in a playful red and blue casing designed to appeal to kids. Helight devices do not emit blue, UV, or infrared light, and they are certified to be photobiologically safe.

Does Helight Work?

I’ve struggled with insomnia for years. I have a hard time both falling asleep and staying asleep, so I knew I’d be able to give the Helight Sleep a good test. I’ve been using my Helight nightly for the last three weeks. It took a couple of nights to get used to having my room lit up in red like an old school photography darkroom, but around a week in, I noticed I was feeling more relaxed at bedtime. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been falling asleep sooner. What would usually take me over an hour, is now on average between 45-60 minutes. It may not seem like much, but for me that’s a significant difference!

It’s important to remember this isn’t a quick-fix solution. I still need to maintain good sleep habits like going to sleep at the same time every night, turning off my phone at least 30 minutes before bed, and avoiding caffeine in the afternoon, but Helight is helping retrain my brain into naturally falling asleep more quickly.

Helight is working for me. But if it doesn’t work for you? Helight offers a 60-night trial and money back guarantee!
