We can talk about cloth diapers as gift ideas for baby, but let’s be real. They’re actually for mom, right? Does your baby care how cute that fluffy diaper on her bum is? Does she notice if you use a reusable wet bag instead of a plastic grocery bag? None of that matters to a baby, right?
I beg to differ. I would argue that these are most definitely gifts for your baby. Because you’re not just giving a cloth diaper or a wet bag, you’re also giving the gift of a cleaner, greener world to grow up in. Our babies will definitely notice that, and they’ll thank us when they’re older!
Omaïki thinks the same way I do, so we’ve teamed up to create a little round-up of eco-friendly baby gift ideas starring reusable cloth!
Mini-Ö Sleep Newborn Diaper
Omaïki’s newborn and preemie fitted diaper, the Mini-Ö Sleep ($22.25), is designed for babies 4-16 pounds and comes in Aplix or snaps. The outside is soft flannel cotton so it needs a waterproof cover. Omaïki’s Mini diaper covers ($19.95) match these newborn fitted diapers, and three rise adjustments ensure a perfect fit for even itty bitty babies.
One Size Ö Sleep
Omaïki’s one size Ö Sleep fitted diaper ($29.95) is made to fit babies 8-35 pounds and comes in snaps or Aplix. The absorbent core is made from multiple layers of bamboo viscose/organic cotton, and the stay-dry mesh lining helps keep baby dry all night. Like its mini counterpart, this diaper also needs a cover. Omaïki makes a One Size Cover ($22.95) with gussets that fits over the Ö Sleep perfectly.
Omaïki 3.Ö Hybrid
If you’re looking for a diaper that doesn’t need a separate cover, Omaïki’s 3.Ö Hybrid diaper ($31.95-$35.95) fits babies approximately 8-35 pounds and is waterproof on its own. It’s also called the 3-in-1 and can be used in, you guessed it, 3 different ways.
- All-in-one: snap the insert into the cover
- All-in-two: lay the insert in the cover
- Pocket diaper: stuff the insert into the sleeve opening
We had a chance to try out this diaper when it first came out and really liked the fit and quality. Read our complete 3.0 Hybrid review here!
Omaïki AIÖ
All-in-one diapers are the most convenient diapering option and a great choice for daycares, babysitters, or grandparents who aren’t used to cloth diapering. No folding, stuffing, pinning needed. Eco-friendly can still be convenient!
Omaïki’s AIÖ ($30.95 – $33.95) fits babies from approximately 8-40 pounds and is available in snaps or Aplix. Each diaper comes with a bamboo viscose and organic cotton insert.
Night Time Trainers
From 18 months up to 10 years, Omaïki offers a reusable pull up night time trainer option for bigger kids too. The HERÖ Night Time Trainer ($34.95) is designed to look just like a regular brief, but you can boost its absorbency by adding an insert to the inner pocket. The outside is waterproof laminated PUL polyester knit, and the inside is 70% bamboo viscose and 30% organic cotton.
Reusable Wet Bag
What to do with those dirty diapers when you’re out and about? The Gö Carrier wet bag ($17.95) measures 12.5″ x 13″ and holds dirty diapers, wipes, underpants, dirty clothes, or anything else you need! Each bag holds approximately 10 diapers and zips shut to keep odours in.
Wouldn’t this be the perfect gift bag to wrap your eco-friendly baby gift in?
Reusable Lunch Solutions
Plastic disposable sandwich bags clog up landfills and end up in the ocean where they don’t biodegrade and can harm wildlife who mistake the floating bags for food. Instead, GUSTÖ reusable snack and sandwich bags ($8.95-$9.95) are made from PUL and can be used over and over again for more than just snacks and sandwiches. These are great for baby wipes, nursing pads, feminine pads, toiletries, travelling, small toys, coloured pencils, and almost anything else you can think of!
And then there’s the GUSTÖ Bib, a must have for messy toddlers and babies just learning to aim their spoon in the direction of their mouths. This machine washable bib comes in sleeveless ($17.95) and long-sleeved ($19.95) versions for the really messy baby.
Okay, this one actually is a present for mom, because nobody wants that much laundry!

The last few months I’ve not been strictly wearing my cloth pads. I’d like to try the Lotus pads to get me back into the swing of it. Cloth pads are so much more healthy.
I showed the Omaiki website to my daughter and she just loves the colours and the idea that they are Eco-Friendly.
So many possibilities to add to a wish-list! I’d love to have more cloth for that time of the month, so some Lotus pads would be a hit with me. Though it’s almost time to start potty training the little, so anything to help with that would be lovely! The overnight undies are quite cute.
I’d love to get a swim diaper for my son. I really like the Monaco print.
I would love to try the Lotus mama cloth!! I am always looking for new and fabulous mama cloth!!
I’d love to try the AIO to cut down on time stuffing diapers for daycare.
I would like to try the AIO diaper in forest friends print. It is soo cute and my son loves animals!
I would like to try their cute fitted diapers! I like all of the prints that I saw (Pandas, Dogs, and Bumblebees)! All so cute. I don’t actually own any fitted diapers yet, but would like to try one/some from somewhere.
I would also love the teepee print diaper.

I would love to try the diaper in the fox print, its so cute. I love the concept of the 3.0 hybrid diaper. I spent so much time researching diapers when pregnant to pick between pocket, AIO and AI2.
Since you already covered all the diapering options, I would say I wouldn’t mind trying the feminine pads.
I’d like to gift the “Fawn” day-time trainers! 🙂
The women’s pads look like they would be excellent to try out! I am looking to add some to my collection.

I would love to have some CULOTTE DE JOUR for my little man. He is in the midst of potty training but when we are out and about or have people over I like to have a bit of absorbency on him.
