Today I’m introducing you to Grow With Me Pants. Renee at Lil’ Monkey Cheeks sent me a pair in this adorable Jack print. Yes, I have a soft spot for cute skully prints. Kay used to have a pair of leggings dotted with miniature skulls, but she outgrew them a long time ago. These, however, are going to last us a long time!
Lil’ Monkey Cheeks Grow With Me Pants are handmade in British Columbia, Canada, by a work at home mom – local to me actually! These stretchy cotton knit pants are designed to fit your baby from about three months up to three years of age. Using a wide fold over waist band and legs, it’s so easy to adjust these as needed to fit your child. The extra room in the back (or the “bum circle” as it’s affectionately known) makes them an ideal choice for cloth diapered babies!
Check out how well they fit over Kay’s fluffy bum. There’s no gaping at the back, and you can see how much more room there is to grow. Kay is already two and a half, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she got at least another year of wear out of them.
Actually, when I see how cozy and comfortable Kay is in them, I wish I had a pair for me!
Our Grow With Me Pants are really well made with serged and topstitched seams for durability. They’re described as fitting from three months to three years, but I think they might be too big on your average three-month-old. Given how much room there is still left to go on my two-year-old, I wouldn’t expect these to stay on until closer to six months. Your mileage may vary, of course.
If you’re a babywearing mama, these are my absolute favourite style of pants for that. When Kay wears jeans or leggings in her carrier, the legs ride up exposing half of her leg to the cold and rain. No fun for baby, especially on our walk to school. But because Grow With Me Pants can be easily rolled up and rolled down, it’s super simple to pull the legs down and keep her calves and ankles warm and covered in the carrier.
Special Edition Grow With Me Pants match Funky Fluff and AppleCheeks prints – only available at Lil’ Monkey Cheeks!
Of course this style of pants is not unique to Lil’ Monkey Cheeks. What is unique though, are these Special Edition Grow With Me pants. Renee has commissioned pants to match prints from two of my favourite Canadian cloth diaper brands: Funky Fluff and AppleCheeks. Lil’ Monkey Cheeks is the only place to get them!
