Share Your Memories with a Nixplay Digital Smart Photo Frame

If you’re looking for a thoughtful, eye-catching, and practical gift for the holidays, it’s hard to go wrong with a Nixplay digital photo frame. Nixplay frames allow you to safely display and send your personal photos and videos to a friend or family member’s frame, as well as invite others to share their pictures on your own frame. It’s a wonderful way to keep family and friends close no matter where they live!

The next generation of digital photo frames from Nixplay is here, and they’re simply beautiful! With high definition displays, sleek frames, and the option to mount on the wall or display free standing, one of these frames would make a marvelous gift for new parents, grandparents, newlyweds, college kids, or any other family members you want to stay close to.

2K Ultra HD Display

Nixplay has just released its highest resolution frame yet, a 9.7″ Smart Photo Frame with ultra-high pixel density for maximum sharpness and the ultimate in picture quality. This frame boasts a stunningly beautiful 2048 x 1536 2K Ultra High Definition IPS display, making our photos look simply flawless. It even plays videos up to 15 seconds in length.

This is our second frame from Nixplay, and I can attest to how easy Nixplay frames are to set up right out of the box. As soon as you plug in the frame, on-screen prompts walk you through the simple set up and connecting to Wi-Fi. Even the most technologically-challenged person should be able to get it showing photos within a few minutes. I really like the 4:3 aspect ratio and wider bezel that make this frame look a lot more like a traditional picture frame as opposed to a tablet.

Nixplay makes it really easy to add photos to your frame, either from your computer or using the Nixplay app (available on Android and iOs) on your phone. The app is the easiest way to create photo playlists straight from your phone’s camera feed and send them wirelessly to up to five different photo frames, but you can also share your photos and videos from Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Flickr, and Google Photos, or upload them securely to Nixplay’s free online cloud storage. Nixplay smart frames even work with Alexa – just ask for the playlist you want.

What’s even cooler is you can send your photos to your gift recipient’s frame too! Surprise the grandparents with the latest photos of the grandkids or a video message letting them know how much they’re missed!

The digital frame, power cord, remote, instructions, and wall template come beautifully packaged in an elegant black box and boldly coloured graphic slipcase perfect for gift-giving. And did you know that Nixplay will plant a tree for every Smart Photo Frame purchased? It’s a gift that gives back!

Like other Nixplay frames, you have plenty of choices to customize the display. You can select the transition style between photos. Set the time interval between photo transitions (from 5 seconds to one hour). Decide whether to display the time and date, and add optional captions for your pictures.

Smart Photo Frames can be displayed in either landscape (horizontal) or portrait (vertical) orientation, and displayed either using the reinforced power cord that doubles as a stand or hung up on the wall. A small panel on the back slides off to reveal wall mount holes. It’s a nice added feature, but you’ll still see the black power cord coming out the back of the frame unless you run it through the wall. Because of that, I prefer to display my frame on my sofa table or bookshelf, but I’m sure others will appreciate the added flexibility.

Nixplay’s Smart Photo Frames contain an energy-saving, integrated Hu-Motion sensor that detect movement and turn the frame on and off automatically when people enter and leave the room. This frame also comes with a magnetic remote which can theoretically be stored on the back of the frame when not in use. However, do be careful because it doesn’t feel 100% secure to me, and I’d hate for the remote to fall onto a hard floor if the frame is jarred. Alternatively, the Nixplay app has a virtual remote function so it’s always at hand when you need it.

1280 x 800 High Definition

Nixplay’s next gen Smart Photo Frame also comes in a more affordable 10.1″ Smart Photo Frame with a 1280 x 800 High Definition 16:10 aspect ratio display. Like its 9.7″ sibling, this frame works with your social media sites, smart home assistants, and cloud drive. While the resolution is a bit lower, the difference is only noticeable in a side-by-side comparison. The picture quality is still top notch, and it also comes with wall mount holes, motion sensor, and remote control.

Long story short, Nixplay’s Smart Photo Frames are a fantastic way to keep friends and family close year round. Either of these would make a treasured gift for any loved one this holiday season!
