  • Adam Braverman from Parenthood. A passionate man who would do anything for his wife and kids, stand up for them when needed, and did everything with love, compassion, empathy and a sense of humor too.

  • I always liked the dad from Major Dad. He was a military dad just like mine. I’m not sure that he was necessarily the best fictional father, but it was fun to relate to the show in that way.

  • Heathcliff Huxtable………….. I loved the cosby show…. I know it is now controversial but still a great show

  • My favorite fictional dad is George Banks from Father of the Bride, although it was not as funny when my dad started going crazy like that over my wedding!

  • I think one of my favourite fictional dads is Papa Bear from Berenstain Bears. Even though he is often chastised by his wife and included with the kids, he is also a hard-working guy that spends a lot of time with his family. He cares deeply for his kids (as evident in Afraid of the Dark when he teaches Sister about imagination and gets her his old night light)

  • I’ve never thought much about who my favorite fictional father would be. I think it would be Belle’s father from Beauty and the Beast. I like that he clearly loves his daughter even though he is a bit loopy and distracted.

  • Atticus Finch. Principled, upstanding, moral and intelligent. He raised his kids with the right attitudes towards their fellow man, going against the pervading racism of the time.
