The Secret Life of Pets on Blu-ray

The Secret Life of Pets

Have you ever wondered what your pets do when you’re not home? I know I have! That question is finally answered when The Secret Life of Pets comes to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™, DVD and On Demand today.

The Secret Life of Pets 1

In their fifth fully animated feature-film collaboration, Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures present The Secret Life of Pets, a comedy about the lives our pets lead when we leave for work or school.

The Secret Life of Pets 3

Max is a loyal terrier living a perfectly happy existence until his owner, Katie, brings home Duke, a big, boisterous mutt she finds at the shelter.

The Secret Life of Pets 4

When Max and his unruly new “roommate” slip away from their dog-walker, they find themselves lost in the urban jungle of New York City. In an attempt to stay ahead of animal control and a rebel band of abandoned pets led by an unhinged bunny named Snowball, they put aside their differences to survive the epic journey back home.

The Secret Life of Pets 5

My kids are total animal lovers so I figured they’d enjoy this movie, and I was right! There are some scary scenes when the pets are being chased and when they face off against a giant snake, but Tee wasn’t fazed by it and even Kay took things mostly in stride. Mostly though it was a fun and funny buddy comedy adventure. The girls thought Chloe the cat and Snowball the bunny were hilarious, and I admit to having a soft spot for Leonard the heavy metal, head banging poodle.

The Secret Life of Pets 6

I liked the underling themes of friendship and teamwork. I strive to teach my kids empathy and how to be a good friend, so we were able to have a discussion after the movie about why it’s important to be open to making new friends at school and in our neighbourhood. Max and Duke remind me a little bit of my daughters when Kay first joined our family, but like my girls, they eventually learn to live with each other and appreciate each other’s strengths.

  • Hi,our Cat Turbo’s favourite activity is hanging onto the duster while i do the floors…he’s a silly kitty.

  • I have a little dog whose name is Rusty and his daily activity is choosing which toy out of the many he has to play with.

  • We have a dog and a cat.. My favorite activity is watching the dog chase the cat and vice versa. It is hilarious how they play together. When alone – the dog loves to bury her treats into the hardwood floors and the cat loves to run on his wheel.

  • I used to have a pet parrot and I would take her out of her cage every morning while having breakfast. She would waddle out to the kitchen where my dad was sitting and he would give her a piece of toast. She was quite the character

  • We don’t have a pet now, but we did have a housebunny , who enjoyed sunning himself and customizing his wicker toys.

  • When I was a kid we had a buggie bird and goldfish but it is so long ago that I can’t remember if they had a fave activity!! lol

  • I have 3 cats (JT, Austin, and Ash) and 1 dog, a Jack Russell named Lucy. Lucy’s favorite activity is chasing squirrels and the cats love to sleep.

  • I have a cat. His favourite activity is chasing around a toy bird that he has. He chases it up and down the hallway.

  • I always had pets growing up and right now I have 3 dogs and 1 cat, and oh boy let me tell you, when we go away and come back, sometimes the house looks like it had a small tornado go through, especially in the livingroom, I think they get bored and just start acting goofy!!

  • We have 2 dogs who are crazy most of the time, they bark at everything that goes by the window, very much like Mel from the movie and one of mine is a pug too!

  • I have two dogs and one cat, their fav thing is to play ball and bark at people. The cat likes to torment the chihuahua

  • I have 2 cats. Their favourite activity currently is to take off the ornaments from the bottom of the Christmas tree and leave them in a pile in the middle of the living room.

  • Yes! I have a house full of very loved and spoiled pets. I have a little Shih tzu named Toby Tangles, 3 cats, 2 squirrels and 2 turtles. Toby loves to play with her baby dolls and eat chicken jerky. The cats’ favorite activity is sleeping! The turtles love to eat and bask and the squirrels love eating , jumping and playing with their toys.

  • Yes I have a pet. Cinnamon, my cat. Her favorite activity is playing in a paper bag. Her next favorite is napping!

  • We have a tabby cat named Charlie. He likes to sit in the window and meow at anyone outside and try to trip his humans if they don’t give him treats.

  • We have 4 cats,a fish and a hamster. The cats favourite activities are sitting on our laps keeping warm! They have many toys that amuse them also

  • I have way too many pets, actually. The dog’s favourite activity is eating anything dropped on the floor. The cat’s favourite activity is sleeping (surprise surprise). The bunny’s favourite activity is chewing things she’s not supposed to. The snake’s favourite activity is being boring. The favourite activity of the mice as a community is “doing it.”

  • I don’t have a pet now, but as a child I used to have a hamster. My hamster slept mostly in the day, but i would pet and play with Snowball in the evenings. He also liked to use his exercise wheel.

  • we have 2 very spoiled dogs, Roxy and Maverick. Roxy is a Doberman and would totally be in on the mischief that the pets in this movie get into

  • I have goldfish. They come to the surface of the pond when I whistle as a signal to be fed, so I guess their favourite activity is eating!

  • I have a ginger tabby cat named Gizmo. He loves to watch the birds eating in the feeder. He’s also a lap cat. LOVES a warm lap to sit on.

  • Yes, i have a small dog, shes really cute and playful. She enjoys walking in the neighborhood, playing catch, and eating!

  • Our puppy’s favourite thing to do is go for walks (especially now – she LOVES the snow!) and tear paper and soft things apart.
