Some things are universal. Things like family, music, dance, and play. If there’s one thing that kids do naturally and innately, regardless of gender, ethnicity, culture, language, or religion, it’s pretend play. Its importance can’t be overstated. Imaginative play helps kids develop cognitively and socially, and playing pretend with another child means they’re also practicing turn-taking, perspective-taking, communication skills, cognitive flexibility, problem-solving, and empathy.
This is Princess Kay. She’s normally a cheerful little girl who loves singing and drawing pictures for her friends, but today she’s feeling very sad. You see, her bunny rabbit went out for an early morning hop and hasn’t returned yet. When Daisy didn’t come home on time, Princess Kay decided to look for her.
And this is Princess Tee. This little princess has a secret: she’s actually a fairy in disguise! Today she’s come to the forest to pick wild flowers for her mother’s birthday.
While Tee is picking dandelions, she runs into a teary-eyed Kay. “What’s the matter?”
Kay explains that she is looking for her pet bunny, and Tee offers to help. The two new friends embark on their search.
The little princesses walk through the forest together looking for Daisy. They look under mushrooms, inside a big hollow tree, among the rose bushes… And then Princess Tee spies someone brown and fuzzy under an old, mossy tree. There she is!
Princess Kay is overjoyed to find Daisy and gives her a big hug! Daisy was frightened when she lost her way home, but now she’s feeling much better.
The new friends play together all afternoon.
And the two little princesses become lifelong friends. What will their next adventure bring?
Our Tale of Two Princesses story and photo shoot were inspired by these exquisite princess gowns from Great Pretenders. Their gowns are made in Canada with real fabrics and trimmings, and sewn to last.
Tee’s Renaissance Gown is a full-length pink and gold gown made from textured shimmer satin and lace, and trimmed with golden ruffles, bows, and a pearl beaded neckline. She’s wearing a Garden Flower Halo with large and small roses hot glued to an adjustable plastic band and finished with long, trailing organza ribbons.
Kay’s Royal Princess Fuchsia Dress is made from satin and crushed velour. This vibrant pink gown features a glitter printed organza inset, a satin ruffled neckline, full sleeves, and a poofy princess skirt. There’s lots of stretch and room to grow in this dress. Her adjustable Pink Rose Garland Halo features delicate roses glued onto a ribbon-wrapped plastic base. The long fuchsia ribbons are finished with glittering gems on the ends..

West Coast Mommy, please consider ending your giveaways on West Coast P(S/D)T time. Thanks.
Hi James, thanks for commenting! I used to do this, but since all the other websites and link ups used Eastern Time, it was confusing for a lot of people and more work for me as I had to manually change all the settings. I realize it’s not ideal for you, and I apologize for the inconvenience. As a general rule, all my giveaways end at 9pm Pacific (midnight Eastern).
