Earlier this year I reviewed Lampe Berger’s classic catalytic lamp. I guess Lampe Berger liked my review (or maybe they thought my stinky house might need more help!), because they recently asked me to try out their newest Parfum Berger line and let you know what I thought.
Parfum Berger is different from classic Lampe Berger as it’s not intended to clean the air, but to scent it. I received a cube scented bouquet in Amber Powder. Personally I prefer fruity or citrusy scents, but that’s just a personal preference. Amber Powder is probably more appropriate for this time of year anyway. It’s warm, spicy, and um… powdery (sorry, I’m not sure how else to describe it!).
Actually, this is how Lampe Berger describes the scent: “This sensual fragrance begins with the subtlety of a rose, then offers an enjoyment of lily of the valley and vanilla scents, and finishes with a touch of captivating amber and patchouli.” Ooh la la!
The simple clear cube bottle is prefilled with parfum and comes packaged with eight polymer “sticks”. Just pop out the stopper, screw the metal sleeve back on, and add as many or as few sticks as you like. The more sticks, the stronger the fragrance. The parfum is highly concentrated, so in my tiny little guest bathroom, I didn’t use any sticks at all. In my bedroom, a couple of sticks were sufficient, and four or five sticks scented my entire open plan living room/kitchen area.
If you were ever concerned about leaving the hot burner on the Lampe Berger catalytic combustion lamp unattended, this might be your answer. The diffuser safely scents any room on a continuous basis, though of course you should still keep it out of reach from the littles.
The Parfum Berger line also offers a pretty ceramic rose bouquet diffuser, rose diffuser on a tray, and room spray.
This line up currently has 10 phthalate-free fragrances, and I’m looking forward to more to come!
