Help for the Holidays with Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids #EFL #TogetherForever

In retrospect, designating the cupboard above my counter for food storage containers was a really bad idea. I can’t count the number of times I’ve dropped containers all over my counters and even on my head trying to find the matching container and lid. And it’s almost always when I’m already running behind and in a rush.

Rubbermaid is the go-to name in organization, so I was curious to try out Rubbermaid’s Easy Find Lids set. They promised me they would make my storage and home organization easier. Their Easy Find Lids are designed to snap to each other and then to the bottom of their matching containers so you never have to hunt for the matching lid again.

Rubbermaid containers are BPA free and microwave, freezer, and top-rack dishwasher safe. The containers in the set I tried come two apiece in six different sizes to fit my food perfectly. Space in my fridge is at a premium, so I always want the container that’s just big enough and no bigger!

The 7-cup, 5-cup, and 3-cup sizes all use the large lids. The 2-cup and 1.25-cup sizes use the medium lids, and the 0.5-cup containers use the small lids. I really like that you can easily tell which size the lids are and that they fit on multiple size containers. The fewer sizes there are for me to pick through, the easier it is to find the right one.

When I emptied out the shelf of all my old plastic containers, I discovered I had three extra lids, and at least one container whose lid I still haven’t found. That’s it! Time to toss them and replace them with this Easy Find Lids set instead. The containers and their attached lids nest easily inside each other which saves space in my cupboard as well as making it easier to find the matching lid. Here’s a before and after shot. Finally! Look how easy it is to find everything!

We’re hosting Christmas dinner this year, and the last thing I want to do while I’m prepping food for the big day is to fight with the chaos and clutter of my storage cupboard. These containers are the perfect size to hold the coconut mashed sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, gluten-free Nanaimo bars, and anything else I can make ahead of time. Anything that saves me time and a headache (literally!) is a winner in my book. But fair warning to my family: when dinner’s done I won’t be sending any leftovers home in these containers. • I had a set of these – but they seem to have grown legs and left my house! Leftovers go home in them, and they never return 🙁

  • I have some of these containers. I need to get more because they are great! It makes keeping my container drawer organized. I have them labeled with some loveable labels so if I lend them out, they make it back to me.
