Welcome to the last installment and giveaway of Kay’s Second Birthday Celebration!
Founded by sisters Marie-Noël and Melanie Beetz and based in Laval, Quebec, Öko Creations has been designing and handcrafting eco-friendly textiles here in Canada since 2009. They kindly sent us one of their signature hooded bath ponchos for Kay as part of her birthday celebration, and it’s become our new favourite after bath towel!
I just slip the poncho over her head and towel her dry. It comes with snaps that do up under the arms, but I don’t usually bother with them after a bath. The poncho is the perfect size for two-year-old Kay. Long enough to dry her off and keep her warm, but short enough not to trip over. And she’s just so freaking adorable in it!
Made from 100% GOTS certified organic undyed, unbleached, and hypoallergenic terry cotton, the bath poncho we received came with the sweet Pink Flowers ribbon trim around the hood. Öko Creations offers 6 different nature-themed trims to suit any taste. When I compare the Öko Creations Hooded Bath Poncho to our regular towels, you can see how soft and fluffy, incredibly squishy, and super absorbent the terry cotton is.
Don’t let the name fool you though. This poncho is not just for baths. I’s a great coverup when Kay is cold and wet after playing in the sprinkler in the backyard, and we’ve even taken it along with us to our neighbourhood splash park. This is when I do up the snaps under the arm to keep the poncho wrapped securely around her and help keep her warm.
