If it’s laughter you’re after, get ready for the most hilarious night ever! Ben Stiller leads an all-star comedy cast, including Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Rebel Wilson and Ricky Gervais, for one final, fun-filled Night at the Museum. This time, Larry Daley (Stiller) and his heroic friends embark on their greatest adventure yet as they travel to London in order to save the magic that brings the museum exhibits to life!
The Blu-ray™ comes with tons of special features that will have the whole family laughing! You can check out how Stiller got into character for his alter ego Laaa, get a behind the scenes look at The British Museum and learn how the film’s iconic fight scene inside an M.C. Escher painting came to light. Best of all, every Blu-ray™ comes with a bonus Digital HD movie – not only do you get a Digital HD version of NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB, but you also get a Bonus digital movie – your choice of one of the other movies in the franchise.
We’ve enjoyed Night at the Museum and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, so I was looking forward to watching this third and final installment of this fun franchise, now out on DVD and Blu-ray. All our favourite characters are back, including final performances from Robin Williams and Mickey Rooney.
The movie opens with Larry (Ben Stiller) back in his night security guard position at the Museum of Natural History and operating “The Night Program” starring the magically animated museum exhibits (disguised as animatronics and special effects). But when the magic tablet that brings them to life begins to fail, Larry, Nicky, the Pharoah Ahkmenrah, and a few stowaways travel to the British Museum in London to consult with Ahkmenrah’s parents who they hope will have some answers. Larry discovers that the tablet must be recharged with exposure to moonlight, but of course things are never that simple. Sir Lancelot mistakes the tablet for the Holy Grail and makes off with it, and now Larry and company must get it back before it’s too late.
The special effects are really well done, and new characters Tilly the British Museum security guard (played by Rebel Wilson) and Sir Lancelot (Dan Stevens) are hilarious! This of course was one of Robin Williams’ last movies, and knowing his comedic genius is lost to us gives the farewell scene an extra poignancy.

Boy that’s a hard question. I think all the characters made the movie what it was. I think because we know it is Robin Williams last movie it is bittersweet and we are drawn to say him but we also have to give credit where credit is due. Owen, Ben, Ricky, the monkey and the dinosaur all had some pretty amazing parts in the movie that kept your attention and made you smile or laugh. All the characters brought the movie together and made it the wonderful story that it was. It was like a football team—they all stood out. It was a team effort. Just a great all round cast.
I love Teddy Roosevelt, Robin Williams was excellent in that role!
