Every afternoon, I check the mail on the way back from picking up the kids from school. Now that I get my bills sent to me electronically, most days it’s just flyers. Grrr. Occasionally I get a reminder postcard from the dentist. Meh. Once a month, Tee gets her Chickadee Magazine with her name on it, and that’s a red letter day! But for me, one of the best mail days is when I find free samples in there. I love getting samples in the mail, they’re like little presents! That’s why I’m really excited to share this sampling event with you, hosted by a group of your favourite bloggers and Sampler!
All next week is Mom’s Week, featuring brands and products that focus on pampering mom and her family. Starting on Monday, May 2, you’ll have the chance to share and claim thousands of free product samples via Facebook!
How It Works
Sampler allows you to send free product samples to your friends which means you’ll be oh so popular! But if you want samples too (and I know you do!), buddy up with a friend and make them solemnly promise to send a sample back to you! You can share with other friends to get them involved in discovering and sharing new and awesome products for mom too!
When you register for the Mom’s Week event, you will receive the event calendar that tells you exactly what day and time each brand will be releasing their samples. You need this calendar to make sure you don’t miss out, so go ahead and RSVP now.
When you RSVP, you will also be automatically entered into the draw for the grand prize gift basket full of prizes worth over $300 for one lucky fan! Could it get any better?
Yes it can! For even more fun, keep your eyes peeled for surprise flash giveaways happening on Facebook all week. I’ve got a really sweet prize to give away… and that’s all I’m going to tell you. You’ll need to visit my page at the right time to see what it is and win it!
Here’s the list of all the great brands that will be participating in Mom’s Week this year. Don’t forget to RSVP to get the event calendar so you can plan out your week, and team up with friends so you can send samples to each other! Some ship to the US only, some to Canada, but most are open to both!
Remember, the sample links will only work during that brand’s exclusive time. You gotta RSVP to find out when!
Parissa wax strips are where it’s at in natural hair removal! There’s no need to melt anything or spread hot wax on my face (my skin thanks you!). These wax strips are quick and easy to use with all natural and organic ingredients. Just warm a pair of strips in your hand, peel them apart, press one on, then quickly rip off. Yes, it does sting, but the azulea oil they include in each box helps soothe and condition my skin after, and I think that having weeks hair-free is worth the second or two of pain.
Available in Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart, Pharmasave, Rexall, Superstore, and Walmart. Available in the US at Fred Meyer, Harmon, Ulta, Whole Foods, and select Walgreens locations.
Greeniche Gold Standard Stevia Sachets are an all natural, no calorie sweetener made from the stevia plant. Stevia is 300 times sweeter than sugar and can be used for cooking and baking. The box that I received came with a bonus portable dispenser and 100 stevia tablets which I claimed right away. I keep it in my purse – it’s perfect for sweetening my tea while I’m out or at work!
I don’t give my kids juice very often, but when I do, I feel comfortable giving them Kiju Organic because their juices are 100% organic fruit juice with no sugar added. They carry the classics like apple and lemonade, but I also love their mixed juices like pomegranate cherry and mango orange. You can find Kiju Organic at natural food stores and in the natural section of most major retailers.
Got kids who won’t eat their vegetables? Bitsy’s Brainfood Smart Crackers are made in the USA, certified USDA Organic, and contain half a serving of organic vegetables per serving! With flavours like Cheddar Chia Veggie, Maple Carrot Crisp, and Sweet Potato Cinna-Graham, I bet you can get your kids to eat their veggies again! Available at Target.
New Pediatric Electrolyte Strips from Solves Strips are the easiest way to get kids to take their medicine! They’re portable, taste great, and dissolve quickly, so they’re ideal for kids who don’t like taking pills (that’s pretty much all of them, right?). Use these to replace lost electrolytes due to flu, diarrhea, vomiting, or extreme climates. I tried one myself, and they taste pretty good actually – kind of salty and sweet and grapey at the same time. I don’t think I’ll have any trouble getting my kids to eat these!
When I was a little girl taking gymnastics, Danskin was the name when it came to leotards and tights. Nowadays, Danskin Now has evolved into one of the most popular female active brands today with a vast assortment of fun and fashionable active wear for every size woman. Dri-More moisture wicking technology helps to keep you dry and cool no matter the activity.
One serving of Healthy Skoop‘s USDA Organic certified B-Strong Plant-Based Protein blend has 16 grams of complete protein from brown rice and peas and 50% of your recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals. That extra protein in my morning smoothie helps me get through to lunch without feeling hungry, and I really love that 3% of every sale goes to Project Produce, a non-profit program bringing bring fresh fruits and veggies to schoolkids across the US! Available on Amazon and at Lucky Vitamin.
What makes Perfect Bar perfect? These refrigerated nutrition bars are made with fresh, whole ingredients, packed full of protein and 20 different superfoods. Every Perfect Bar is gluten-free and sweetened with organic honey instead of refined sugar. Available at natural, specialty and conventional retailers, including Whole Foods, Kroger, Safeway, Costco and Sprouts Farmer’s Market.
DeVita Natural Skin Care is 100% vegan and paraban-free. We moms never get as much sleep as we need, and I feel like these bags under my eyes will never go away. So I was really happy to try DeVita’s Revitalizing Eye Lift Cream made with hyaluronic acid, shea butter, vitamin K, and tetrapeptide-7. It feels so cool and refreshing on my under eye circles. A little goes a long way too!
eureka! Organic Bread
eureka! Organic Bread is certified USDA Organic, vegan, and contains no high fructose corn syrup, artifical flavours, colours, or preservatives. Plus it’s made with sustainable packaging. Available in 27 or 18 oz loaves in the following varieties: Grainiac Seeds the Day, Saaa-Wheat, Smoooooth Wheat, Top Seed, and Sweet Baby Grains. Find where to buy here.
MyChelle‘s Sun Shield broad spectrum sun screens are non-nano mineral-based (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide), reef safe, and free of parabens, artificial fragrances, and colours. We know that mineral-based sunscreens are safer than chemical sunscreens but honestly that white residue can be a real pain. MyChelle has addressed this issue with their clear formulations. I like the Clear Stick a lot – it’s super moisturizing, rubs in really easily, and doesn’t give me ashy or “ghost” skin!
Apricot Power‘s B17 infused SuperFood Mix is made from whole foods and high quality bitter raw California-grown apricot seeds. You can use this to make delicious and healthy smoothies, shakes, muesli, raw or fresh-baked meals, muffins, and more. Even ice cream! I like to mix a little in with my Greek yogurt and berries for a supercharged snack. Check out the Apricot Power website for lots of recipes and ideas. SuperFood is pesticide-free, vegan, non-GMO, and gluten-free. Available on Amazon.
FATCO Baby Butter is an extra nourishing moisturizer created specifically for babies and children. Made from real organic ingredients: organic tallow from grassfed cows (very healing for skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis), coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, avocado oil, jojoba oil, and beeswax. The Baby Butter is unscented to better protect babies’ sensitive skin, but their adult products are scented with essential oils and OMG they smell and feel amazing! That orange, ginger, and ylang ylang body butter is my favourite. Paleo and paraben-free.
Is that an awesome list or what? Let me know in the comments which sample(s) you’re most looking forward to scooping up!
