Welcome to the Ready to POP! Labor Day Giveaway Hop hosted by Viva Veltoro and Lindsey Blogs! This year we’re celebrating Labour Day in a totally fun way – by offering fabulous giveaways for mamas and babies who have done some of the hardest labour out there!
You know who else works hard? This mama! Meet Sara, the owner of Itsy Bitsy Necessities, your one-stop cloth diaper shop and more!
Sara is a mama to three beautiful children, Mason (4) who will be starting Junior Kindergarten this year, Wyatt (14.5 months) who is learning to walk, and baby Kenzie (3.5 months) who has just started rolling over. Two dogs and a cat make this busy family complete! Located in lovely Grimsby, Ontario, Sara and her family enjoy spending time together, cheering Daddy on at his races, and going to the cottage.
I love getting to know the family behind the small businesses I support, and I know you do too! So I asked Sara to share a little bit about Itsy Bitsy Necessities and herself.
What did you do before opening Itsy Bitsy Necessities?
When I’m not on mat leave, my day job is an educational assistant. I have been doing this for the past seven years. For the past few years I have been working in a life skills setting. I am also almost done my Child and Youth Worker Apprenticeship.
Why did you start cloth diapering?
We decided to cloth diaper after learning about it at a local baby show. When we had our first son we used a local service – they were great! They had an amazing product and excellent customer service. Unfortunately they closed their doors, so we started washing our own. We loved that cloth diapers were a more natural option to disposables, great for the environment, super cute, and my husband loved the savings.
Why did you decide to start your own cloth diaper shop?
After the diaper service closed, we had a hard time finding any cloth diaper shops in our area. I did some googling and initially signed up with another company as a consultant, and next thing I knew I was becoming my own little store and Itsy Bitsy Necessities was born! I wanted to provide my community with a local option to purchase and learn about cloth.
Itsy Bitsy Necessities is fully stocked with your favourite Canadian cloth diaper brands AppleCheeks, Funky Fluff, and Nuggles, plus nursing, teething, and potty training accessories. Sara only carries brands that she has personally used and vouches for, so you know they’re the best quality and you can always expect top notch customer service and first hand troubleshooting experience!
Right now, first time buyers can choose either 15% off your purchase with code NEWBIE15 (excludes new releases and Funky Fluff LUX) or free shipping in Canada with code NEWBIESHIP.
Shipping is always free when you spend $100 or more (Canada or US)!
Connect with Itsy Bitsy Necessities on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
