Hasbro Holiday Hits: FurReal Sweet Jammiecorn Unicorn and Betrayal at House on the Hill

We look forward to receiving and gifting Hasbro toys every year. They have the best gift ideas for kiddos who love Star Wars, My Little Pony, Transformers, NERF, Play-Doh, Marvel, Disney Princess, Peppa Pig, PJ Masks, and more. Check out some of our top picks for this year, and scroll all the way down for a chance to win them!

FurReal Sweet Jammiecorn Unicorn

I always love seeing the new interactive, robotic pets from FurReal. My kids love playing and caring for them, and they don’t make messes on my floor! This year’s Sweet Jammiecorn Unicorn is absolutely adorable. While the oversized head is hard inside with mechanical components, I like that her body is so very soft, huggable and entirely squishable.

During the day, she can drink from her bottle and make cute eating and playful sounds. She giggles, whinnies, and says, “Hi!”

At night, press her horn to close her eyes and change the colour of her horn. Jammiecorn makes cute yawning noises, snores, and says, “Night, night!”

Then press her ear to play one of three lullabies or two “white noise” soundscapes (river and rain) as your child gets ready for bed. The lighted horn slowly pulses between pink and blue, and the music plays for 5 minutes before turning itself off. My only regret is that there’s only one volume level.

Jammiecorn comes with batteries already installed (yay!) and her bottle accessory. If the music keeps turning off within a few seconds, check that the switch on the back of her head is set to full play instead of the demo setting.

FurReal Fuzzalots Pets

Or for a more portable FurReal friend, interactive Fuzzalots Pets come in a smaller size perfect for tucking in their Christmas stocking. Look for Puppy, Kitty, Bunny, Monkey, and the new Arctic series with Arctic Fox, Penguin, and Polar Bear. These cute little creatures change their tummy’s colour and make over 25 sounds and reactions to let you know how they’re feeling – hungry, thirsty, cold, or cranky. Feed them or pet them to make them happy again. Each miniature friend comes with batteries and a themed bottle accessory.

Betrayal at House on the Hill Board Game

For older kids, how about a cooperative board game the whole family can play together?

Betrayal at House on the Hill is a roleplaying, horror-themed strategy game for 3-6 players, ages 12 and up. Gameplay takes about 60 minutes.

There are two phases to this game. In the first phase, players build and explore the haunted house. At some point, a player will trigger the “haunt” phase and select one of 50 different scenarios with different victory conditions. Face witches, dragons, zombies, and other B-movie horror monsters while moving through the house and attempting to escape. Each scenario will assign none, one, or more traitors, and your goal is to complete your side’s victory condition first, either as a traitor or a hero.

Since there are 50 different scenarios and dozens of room arrangements to play, you’ll never play the same game twice. Gather friends and family for a game night of monsters, miniatures, and modular board pieces in this immersive, story-driven hidden traitor game.

In the box.

The second edition includes 1 rulebook, 2 haunt books (Traitor’s Tome and Secrets of Survival), 44 room tiles, 1 entrance hall/foyer/grand staircase tile, 6 pre-painted plastic explorer figures, 6 two-sided character cards, 30 plastic clips, 8 dice, 1 turn/damage track, 80 cards (event, item, omen), and 149 tokens.
