Did you know that here on the West Coast we live in a temperate rain forest? That’s what gives us our mild temperatures year round, an incredible amount of biodiversity and biomass, and lots and lots (and lots) of rain. Trust me when I say we get a lot of use out of our rain boots, all autumn, winter, and spring. Around here, if you don’t play in the rain or mud, you don’t play outside at all!
So it makes sense that Stonz Wear was founded in Vancouver. With their signature Booties, Mittz, Winter Bootz, and Rain Bootz, they definitely know something about keeping kids warm and dry!
My girls recently received a pair of Stonz Rain Bootz each, and we have quickly become big fans. Rain Bootz are made from shiny, high quality, all-natural rubber in six fun colours to keep my kids’ tootsies dry in puddles and in style. They’re light, durable, tear-resistant, and free from PVC, phthalates, lead, and formaldehyde.
These rain boots fit true to size, and they’re so comfortable my girls insisted on wearing them around the house the entire first day after we received them. I had to put my foot down and tell Kay she could not wear them to bed!
Stonz also carries cozy, velour-fleece Rain Boot Linerz that fit perfectly inside their rain boots for those cold, wet, wintry days, allowing us to use them year round in our climate. I love that even my 3-year-old can easily put them on herself. She puts the Linerz on first, then slides her feet and liners together into her boots. I’m pretty sure that these would work really well in our kind of wet and slushy snowfalls too.
Not only do the liners add an extra cozy layer for warmth, the fleece cuffs look super cute! Kay calls them her Santa boots. I love that they make it so easy to use our boots year round, and they’re machine washable of course.
Stonz Rain Bootz are perfect for puddle jumping! The kids have a blast, and I don’t have to worry about cold, wet feet or ruined shoes.
When was the last time you and your kids went puddle jumping?
