  • Take the time to recycle – it’s not just cans and bottles. Goodwill, electronic recycling, metal recyclers – it’s all worth the bit of extra effort not to just dump it in the garbage.

Also – education. Kids who start early will continue good eco-friendly habits throughout their lives.

  • Use only natural, organic, and non-toxic household cleaning products, which are free of harsh and harmful chemicals.

  • I make all of my own personal care and household cleaners ~ not only are they better for the environment, but they’re better for my skin and for the health of my family ~ AND, I can make them to work and smell and feel exactly the way that we prefer, instead of those horrible plastic scents that are trendy!

  • My tip is to not let it get complicated! Being green to me is more about going back to the way things used to be done not so much about re inventing things (ie un-paper towels….paper towels replaced towels so when you want to be greener you stop buying disposable and just use what you have!)

  • Recycling has to be the best idea, combined with considering less waste when purchasing goods

  • My favorite tip is to make as many of your cleaning and personal care products as possible. Not only healthier for your body but uses much less packaging and earth-damaging chemicals.

  • My favorite tip is to do what you can and don’t worry about “going all in” and doing every thing “green” at once. We’ve slowly transitioned over the past few years to more reusable products and recycling more and being more aware of what we put in and on our bodies. It doesn’t happen overnight, so don’t beat yourself up over not being perfect!

  • My favourite tip is: Just do it! There are so many things I think, “Oh, I’ll do it when…” about that I really should just start doing. For example, I took a break from composting because I need to empty the fresh dirt out of my composter. i ended up not composting for 3 months!
