As hard as it is for me to believe, my youngest daughter will be starting kindergarten this fall. How did that happen? It seems like only last week we were celebrating her first birthday…
And her first day of preschool…
And then all of a sudden, here we are! This is a year of big firsts for us. Not only is Kay starting kindergarten and joining the big kids for things like ice skating and swimming lessons, but for the first time in seven years I’m going to have my weekdays to myself. That’s definitely a big milestone!
Kay’s growing up so quickly. Lately she’s been all about figuring out her own unique style and fashion sense. Sometimes that means a red T-shirt layered over her favourite pink fancy dress, rubber rain boots, and a sparkly tiara (I call it creative eclectic!), but she’s slowly learning that certain items and certain colours go together better than others (conventionally speaking, of course).
With the first day of school for both girls right around the corner, we visited our local Carter’s | OshKosh store to do a little back-to-school shopping. They always have the best deals, and I know that the quality of both Carter’s and OshKosh clothing will stand the test of time (or test of play as I like to call it).
The girls loved the huge selection of affordable tops and bottoms, and Kay in particular was excited to try on lots of different outfits. This is a girl after my own heart!
We started with a pair of OshKosh skinny jeans for both girls. At $9 a pair they were a steal! I love the adjustable waistband, and the snap closure is easy for Kay to fasten (those little fingers still have trouble with buttons).
Then Tee chose an OshKosh Originals Unicorn Graphic Tee, and after much angst and indecision, Kay picked out this adorable OshKosh Originals “Girls Rule” Astronauts Graphic Tee.

When the first day of school rolls around, you might find me a little teary eyed in the parking lot after dropping them off. But right after that I’m heading home to eat a candy bar all to myself and take a gloriously uninterrupted afternoon nap. Another well-earned first!

Hi Mary, the rules page says it’s open to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in his or her jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry in to the Contest.
I love shopping at Carter’s/OshKosh, we have a store not too far away and the clothes are good quality at a reasonable price too.
