The fam and I just got back from a fantastic trip to Mexico. Technically we were there for my cousin’s wedding, but boy we really needed that week away to relax, ditch the chores, and soak up the sunshine. No work, no cooking, no LAUNDRY. Just quality family time!
Anyone who’s flown with a baby or toddler knows how important it is to pack wisely. You need a comfortable and well organized bag not just for diapers, but also as an airplane carry-on for everything else you need along the way. That’s why I was thrilled that my new camo print Unisex Courage backpack-style diaper bag from TWELVElittle arrived just in time to take along for our vacation!
The Courage Backpack’s trendy, sleek design is so much more attractive than many traditional bulky and cumbersome diaper bags, and it was exactly what we needed on the flight as a diaper bag/carry-on combination. The bag held all our diapering necessities for the long haul flight plus multiple outfit changes, shoes, jacket, hat, snacks (so many snacks!), sippy cup, toys, books, a blanket, and even my laptop in its own dedicated compartment. Best of all, the bag fit perfectly under the airplane seat keeping everything easily accessible throughout the flight.
Once we arrived at our resort, the versatile TWELVElittle Courage Backpack worked really well as a water-resistant beach bag for trips down to the surf and as a handy grab-and-go for poolside too.
The padded back and straps make wearing the backpack remarkably comfortable, even all day, and the straps are easily adjustable to allow either me or hubby to wear it in a flash. The spacious inside is lined with a well thought-out water-resistant layer of fabric that makes it easy to clean up any spills or leaks.
In terms of design, all of the pockets are well-placed with two large zippered pockets and two insulated bottle pockets on the outside, and two elastic top slip pockets and a padded laptop sleeve (fits up to 14″ laptop) on the inside. The clever zipper compartment hidden in the bottom is great for stashing the used wet bag and soiled items that inevitably accumulate. It also comes with a handy travel change pad. The change pad is a good size, but doesn’t take up too much room in the bag.
Now that we’re home, I still love taking this bag with us around the city because I can fit all of my toddler’s stuff in there along with items for me or hubby. There’s plenty of room for everything! Our son wears nothing but cloth diapers, which can be a bit bulky and take up a lot of diaper bag real estate, but this bag accommodates all of our fluff accessories and much more. The insulated drink holders and the padded laptop compartment make the Courage Backpack a great option for all our on-the-go adventures.
I really like the camo print we chose as the earth tones go with almost anything, and my hubby likes that it’s gender-neutral and not obviously a diaper bag. That said, TWELVElittle has several other really cute and trendy colours and prints, so it was a little hard to choose just one! I can’t wait to try out a few of the diaper bag accessories that they carry (that dog paci keeper!), as well as the adorable kids mini backpacks and lunch bags that come in the Courage line.
Overall, I’m so happy with our TWELVElittle Unisex Courage Backpack and would certainly recommend it. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the quality is excellent and it’s already proven to be very durable. When we’re finally done with diapers, this versatile bag can easily be used as a traditional backpack. I definitely see us using this bag for years to come!
