The holidays are all about family, and one of my family’s favourite ways to connect and have fun is through playing games together. This holiday season, Asmodee has everyone covered with the best titles in board games for kids, the family, and parties!
Check out some of the games that will please everyone this holiday season and be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom for your chance to win some of these for your own family.

The streets of Carcassonne are filled with kids; the city has never been so alive! This version of the modern classic, My First Carcassonne, has been adapted to allow players of all ages to play together. Each turn, players place a tile to build the city. When they close a street with one or more children dressed in their colour, they get to put their pawn on the board. The first to place all their pawns wins!

Ramen Fury is the use-your-noodle card game! Rush to prepare and slurp up delicious bowls of ramen filled with tasty ingredients. Collect combos of cards to score for different recipes while adding garnishes to boost your points. At the same time, watch out as other players throw spicy chili peppers your way or swipe foods right from your bowls! Its “take that” fun that will have you calling for takeout!
2-5 players, ages 8+ | 30 minutes
Rediscover Splendor through the universe of the Marvel superheroes. The classic board game returns in a new version, Splendor Marvel! Rules as simple and smooth as the original Splendor, with a distinct allocation of colours to provide a different experience of play. Diversify the tactics with the Avengers tile that passes from hand to hand and discover a new game end: acquire the Infinity Gauntlet! Includes 90 characters from the Marvel Universe.
2-4 players, ages 10+ | 30 minutes
Stella is a new take on the Dixit universe. Pick a word-card which players then secretly associate with any cards on the table that inspire them. Then each person reveals the number of associations they’ve made. If you’re alone in your choice, you’ve pushed too far and receive a penalty. Score points for any selections you have in common with other players. Dare to chase the stars!
3-6 players, ages 8+ | 30 minutes
Best in Party Board Games
In Concept, your goal is to guess words through the association of icons. For example, to get others to guess “milk”, the team might place the question mark icon (it signifies the main concept) on the liquid icon, then cubes of this color on “food/drink” and “white”. The first player to discover the word or phrase receives 2 victory points, the team receives points as well.
4-12 players, ages 10+ | 40 minutes
In Hint, your teammates have to guess what you are trying to tell them. Along the way you both mime, draw, hum and talk about everything from ‘European Capitals’ and ‘Movie Villains’ to ‘Songs about Wink’ and ‘Pizza Fill’. You must be both quick and creative, but beware! There is always one forbidden word that you may not use. An entertaining party game for everyone that gets the hint.
