A couple of months ago I was at my local moms group when I saw the cutest little legging-clad four-month-old girl. I don’t usually do this, but those pants were so unique and stylish, I just had to ask her mom where she got them. I had never seen anything like these before; they had adorable little daisy details and looked so comfy. She said they were from a British company called Blade & Rose and told me of a couple children’s shops in Seattle where I could find them.
As soon as I got home, I immediately began to look for a way to get my hands on a pair of these awesome leggings, but sadly, both of the shops only carried a couple of designs. I didn’t feel comfortable copying her by getting the exact same daisy pair, so after a healthy grieving period, I came to accept that my legging dreams had been dashed.
For some strange reason I hadn’t even thought to look for the company’s website to see if I could purchase from them directly, but fast forward a few weeks and—wonder of wonders—Blade & Rose reached out to ask if we’d like to do a review! What a crazy coincidence, right?! Needless to say, I was really excited to try a couple of outfits for my kiddos.
Let me tell you, they surpassed my expectations. The order arrived quickly, and their beautiful gift box really added to the experience. As I unwrapped my treasures, I took each item in my hands and felt the great blend of sturdiness and softness in the materials. They’re really designed with kids’ needs in mind.
Though Blade & Rose is most recognized for their leggings with the trademark designs on the bum, they also have a large offering of accessories and tops that can be mixed and matched, making the shopping process fun and creative.
I’m in love with those little monster buns! That stretchy fabric is perfect for cloth diapers! The leggings are size 2-3 years and fit him really well. The shirt is 18-24 months, and we had to roll up the sleeves a couple of times. Even though Brooks is almost two, he’s pretty small for his age, and we definitely could have gone a size down on the top. The hat has a nice band of fleece lining on the inside and is excellent quality. I’m hoping its size of 1-2 years continues to fit him for a while.
Big news alert! I’m so excited to introduce the newest member of our little tribe, Riley! My sibling photos still leave a lot to be desired, but I was able to capture this one cute shot of Brooks with his new baby sister in her Blade & Rose Strawberry Bandana Bib (£6.00).
I also received a pair of Strawberry Leggings (£10.00) in size 0-6 months and their Grey Spotted Bodysuit (£12.95) in 3-6 months, but she’s only two weeks old and a whopping 7 lbs 10 oz, so I’ll have to wait for her to fit into them.
Can’t wait to see those little strawberry buns on her!
Blade & Rose has enjoyed great success in multiple countries across the pond, and now they’re quickly expanding into the U.S. I really think they’re going to be a huge hit here, and I won’t be surprised to see more and more of their cute designs gracing baby buns everywhere.
