We’ve been loyal Sears customers for a long time, so when I saw Sears Canada in the news recently, I was curious and wanted to find out more about all the recent innovations they’ve been making. Well, I’ve got the inside scoop to share with you, and I think you’ll agree they’ve made Sears even better than before!
Sears Canada has been hard at work improving and updating their store layouts and design. Heck, they even have a new logo! What do you think? I like it!
For my readers in Southwestern Ontario, the future of Sears Canada is already on display at four new concept stores in your area!
- Promenade Mall in Thornhill
- Mapleview Centre in Burlington
- Stone Road Mall in Guelph
- Oshawa Centre in Oshawa
Sears’ fresh new concept stores are designed to provide a more customer-friendly experience. They’ve really focused on creating a welcoming, clean, and open atmosphere with lots of space, wide aisles, and clear sight lines so you can easily see what you want and where you need to go. That means no more bumping elbows with other shoppers or knocking things off the shelves.
Another change I love: instead of the traditional cosmetic counters crowded at the entrance, Sears is designing stores with a welcoming “decompression zone” when you first walk in so you can take a moment to orient yourself and see where you want to go. As someone who gets overwhelmed by too much clutter, I think this is fantastic!
Sears Canada’s mission has always been to provide quality products at family-friendly prices. To that end, they’ve curated a carefully tailored selection of high-quality yet affordable merchandise including new fashion lines from Tom Tailor, Jacqueline De Yonge, One Fashion by Vero Moda, and Jessica Simpson. I love that I can find my look without spending an arm and a leg!
It’s not just me though. At six and four, my girls are at that age where they’re starting to have an opinion about what they want to wear. With Sears I can buy them the clothes they love at prices that I love. What could be better?
It’s the little changes that make a difference too. Things like more mannequins in the store for fashion inspiration. More mirrors so you can easily check out your new look when you’ve found that perfect sweater. Open shelves so you can see where everything is (and so you can find your kid when she gets distracted and wanders off).
Obviously I can’t get all the way to Ontario right now to visit in person, but if you’re in the area, head over to one of the new stores and take a look. Have you been to one of these concept stores already? What did you think?
I love everything I’ve seen and read about Sears Canada‘s new look, and I’m eagerly looking forward to the new stores arriving on the West Coast!

Love the new layout! Our Sears store is so crowded and cluttered. I don’t like shopping there.

I REALLY can’t wait till the next time I’m in the city so I can stop by Sears and see if ours has changed. I love the new look – so much more organized!
It was time for a revamp so this looks great.
I love Sears because they have a lot of products that are Canadian made. They also have products that look high end but they are reasonably priced.
