Yeah, yeah. We hear all the time that we need to take time for ourselves. But when we’re busy with kids, family, work, home, and all the other things we’re responsible for every day, it often feels there’s just not much time left for us! Sure, heading to a day spa sounds wonderful in theory, but when would I ever have the time?
That’s why I love DIY beauty and wellness products I can make myself with natural and food-quality ingredients already in my fridge and pantry. They’re quick, they’re easy, they’re economical, and best of all, I don’t have to drive anywhere! And there’s one more bonus: when you make your own products, you know exactly what’s in there. That’s especially important if you have any allergies or sensitivities.
This simple homemade face mask contains Greek yogurt, honey, and nutmeg to leave your skin soft, hydrated, and smelling delicious. And if you have any whiteheads, I find this mask helps draw them out.
The lactic acid in the yogurt helps to gently dissolve dead skin and tighten pores. Raw honey is naturally antimicrobial and moisturizing, and nutmeg’s antibacterial properties help heal your skin. Despite its name, nutmeg is a seed, not a nut, so don’t worry if you have peanut or tree nut allergies.
After mixing up your facial mask, apply a generous layer over your face. I like to use a brush, but your fingers will work just fine in a pinch. Now relax while your mask works its magic! It tingles ever so slightly and smells a bit like pumpkin spice cheesecake. Mmmm! After 15 to 20 minutes, rinse it off completely with warm water and pat your face dry.

Thank you for sharing, I have so much allergies and I will try this recipe. My face is so dry! Do you know if I can use it on my lips, they are dry too.
I’ve never tried it on my lips but I think you probably could. I would start out with just 5 minutes to start and see how it feels. Either way, it’ll be yummy!
Sounds good!
