6 Valentine’s Day Crafts Perfect for Toddlers and Preschoolers

I’m always on the lookout for crafts that Kay and Tee can do. There are some really awesome arts and crafts projects out there, but so many of them are just too advanced for my 17-month-old and 3-year-old to do. It’s just not as much fun for them if I have to do most of the actual crafting for them, so finding easy crafts that even toddlers and preschoolers can do is always a win in my book.

The other day we made these classic paper lanterns, and I wanted to find some other simple crafts that my girls would be able to do with just a little bit of help from me.

It just so happens that I know some very talented bloggers with kids around the same age as mine, and they kindly agreed to share with me some of the Valentine’s Day crafts that their kids have enjoyed. I’m sure you and your toddler will find something here to make together!

This toilet paper roll tube owl craft from Jody at Mommy Moment certainly is a hoot! And we always have plenty of toilet paper roll tubes hanging around to make this adorable craft.

This DIY Valentine’s Day stained glass heart from Jennifer over at 1 Heart, 1 Family would be great for upcycling some of the tissue paper I have stashed away from Christmas. These would be beautiful hanging up in front of my window.

Jennifer from Mom vs. The Boys used heart-shaped cookie cutters as stamps. My girls love stamping! Jennifer’s boys made their Valentine’s Day card envelopes from this paper, and I think it would make a beautiful wrapping paper too.

Both of my girls could easily make these thumbprint butterflies from Mommy Moment. I love the sparkles!

Multi-Testing Mommy made these cute Valentine’s Day mouse suckers. These would make great Valentine’s (or anytime) favours.
