Tiny Teethers Fashion Teething Necklaces

It’s been a little while now, but I very clearly remember how awful I felt when my babies were crying and fussing from teething pain. I struggled to find something that would take away the pain and discomfort. I tried frozen bananas (oh the mess!), frozen wash cloths, and all sorts of teething rings and teething toys. Some worked well, some less so, and some worked only once or twice before Kay randomly decided NEVER to touch them again.

But of course the teethers that didn’t help at all were the ones that I forgot at home, dropped on the floor, or left behind at the grocery store. That’s what makes teething necklaces such a great idea. They’re a fantastic way to keep track of your teether and keep it off that nasty who-knows-when-it-was-last-washed shopping mall concourse.

I’ve seen plenty of teething necklaces, usually one large silicone piece on the end of a cord. But why should teething jewelry be plain and utilitarian? I like pretty accessories just as much as the next mama, which is why I’m loving these Tiny Teethers necklaces made by a local Port Moody mama, Tara. Initially designed for her adorable baby boy, Andreas, no one will know these are teethers unless you tell them! With one of these chic necklaces, you’ll never drop or leave your teether behind again.

The beads used in Tiny Teethers necklaces are made from 100% silicone, the same material used for pacifiers and bottle nipples. The silicone is firm enough to give your baby that soothing counterpressure he needs on his sore gums, but soft enough not to hurt his developing teeth.

And if your baby is anything like mine, these necklaces are great to keep older nurslings’ hands busy while breastfeeding. You know, instead of pulling out your hair or trying to yank your shirt off (not that I would know anything about that).

Tiny Teethers and Safety

Alright, let’s get down to the nitty gritty. What’s in these necklaces and are they safe? Just like you, the health and safety of babies is Tara’s first priority! All beads are:

  • Made of food grade silicone
  • BPA free
  • PVC free
  • Phthalate free
  • Contain NO lead or cadmium
  • Contain NO heavy metals

Tiny Teethers’ necklaces have been tested and certified to comply with Canadian and American regulations, and they come with breakaway clasps for extra safety. Remember though, these are designed to be worn by mama, not baby. Never leave babies unattended with this product.
