Cloth Diapering Giveaways Greener Living

Our Favourite Bummis Cloth Diaper Accessories

We’ve been fans of Bummis for a very long time, from their classic prefolds to their new All-in-One diaper. I love that they offer a complete cloth diapering line in fresh and trendy colours and prints for newborns all the way through to potty training: prefolds and wraps, fitted diapers, all-in-two Duo-Brite diapers, all-in-one diapers, swim diapers, Potty Pants, wet bags, and cloth diapering accessories to make your cloth diaper routine more convenient. Today I’m talking about our favourite Bummis accessories!

Tampa All in one

Wet bags are the ultimate cloth diapering accessory. Even after potty training, they’re perfect for swimsuits, dirty clothes, travelling, toiletries, lunches, menstrual pads, and more. Bummis makes waterproof wet bags in four different sizes from 5″x6″ snack bags up to 24″x24″ pail liners.

I always recommend cloth wipes over disposable baby wipes. Regardless of the type of diapers you use, you’ll need a healthy stash of wipes for diaper changes, drool-soaked chins, runny noses, sticky hands… babies require a lot of wiping up! Bummis Cotton Wipes are made of 100% unbleached cotton flannel. They’re 1-ply, and at 8″ x 8″, just the right size to tuck into your pocket or diaper bag. They’re soft and practical, with just a touch of whimsy in the rainbow stitching. Sold in packs of 6.cloth wipes

But what about the poop? Bio-Soft liners are flushable diaper liners that make clean up a breeze. No need to rinse poopy cloth diapers in the toilet! Bio-Soft liners contain the solid waste; you simply discard the soiled liner in the toilet and flush away the mess. Bio-Soft liners come in two sizes and are made in England from non-woven 100% viscose rayon, a cellulosic fibre derived from natural sources, with no binder so they biodegrade within 8 days in a sewage treatment system or 20 days in a septic tank.

If you prefer to keep everything reusable, Bummis fleece liners are a layer of fleece you can add on top of any cloth diaper. They’re soft, breathable and wick moisture away from your baby’s skin, creating that stay dry sensation. Solids slide right off the fleece, and baby’s diaper is protected from creams and ointments. They come 5 liners per package, and they’re eco-friendly, non-toxic, and made in Canada from fabrics milled in the USA.fleece liners

Fleece liners were my preferred option for dealing with poop during our cloth diapering days. Plop the poop into the toilet then throw them into the laundry with your cloth diapers and wash as usual. Easy peasy!
