Our AVEENO® Baby Bath Routine #AVEENOBabySkin

Lately, bath time has been somewhat less than fun time in our house. When the girls were younger, I loved giving them baths. There was something really soothing about the warm water, the one on one bonding, the smell of clean baby fresh out of the tub… But that whole zen thing is so over now that they’re two and five.

I bathe the girls together, and these days it’s exhausting! One won’t get in the tub, the other won’t get out. They both absolutely MUST have the same bath toy this very second or there will be hell to pay. One freaks out about water on her head, and the other insists that she wants to wash all by herself, millimeter by millimeter.

Bath time has changed a lot in the last couple of years, but even though they’re not babies anymore, we’re still using AVEENO® Baby Wash & Shampoo and AVEENO® Baby Lotion as part of our bath routine.

AVEENO Baby Wash & Shampoo and Body Lotion

Kay has sensitive skin that’s prone to itchy, dry patches so I don’t actually use soap every time she’s in the tub. But since AVEENO® Baby Wash & Shampoo is soap-free and hypoallergenic, it’s gentle enough for Kay’s sensitive skin and even newborns. I like that it gets my kids squeaky clean without drying out their skin. And yes, I’m a fan of two-in-one products like this that save me time and shelf space.

I use AVEENO® Baby Lotion after the bath to add even more nutrients and to help lock moisture in. It’s hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and paraben-free, and I love how quickly the non-greasy lotion absorbs into their skin.

Aveeno Baby logoBoth contain ACTIVE NATURALS® colloidal oatmeal which soothes and moisturizes skin with five vital nutrients, making them a great natural choice. As the #1 pediatrician recommended baby brand in Canada, I trust AVEENO® to take care of my girls’ skin.
