Lactose-Free Mango Berry Smoothie Bowl #compromisefree

When you’re following a gluten-free, lactose-free, peanut-free, or other allergen-free diet, it can be hard to find products and ingredients that taste like you remember. Hubby and Kay both have food allergies, so I’m always looking for alternatives to make sure they don’t miss out. Just because you’re limited in what you can eat, you shouldn’t have to be limited in what you can enjoy too! Thankfully there are many more gluten-free, lactose-free, and peanut-free options out there than ever before, but how do you know which ones taste like the real thing?

This delicious Mango Berry Smoothie Bowl is made with President's Choice lactose-free yogurt so everyone can enjoy this rich, creamy, frosty treat!

One name I trust is President’s Choice, because they’re committed to helping Canadians find freedom in “-free” products so we don’t have to choose between health and flavour anymore.

President’s Choice carries a delicious selection of lactose-free dairy products that puts all those things you’ve been avoiding back within reach. Sure, non-dairy milks are one option, but you just can’t beat the taste of a rich and creamy smoothie made with yogurt. And now you can have it with lactose-free yogurt!

President's Choice lactose-free 2% M.F. yogurtMy kids went bonkers for that creamy, frosty smoothie taste made with PC’s lactose-free yogurt and frozen mango chunks, frozen blueberries, and frozen strawberries. They especially loved the pretty smoothie bowl presentation!

  • My son’s school has a peanut free policy so having access to snacks that adhere to the policy is very important.

  • I don’t have those particular allergies, but I have known people who do. I had other dietary restrictions for medical reasons, and sometimes it was challenging to find something to eat, particularly at a potluck or at certain restaurants! I try to bring something gluten-free to potlucks (and double-check my ingredients!) and also list what else it is free from, so those with certain allergies/intolerances can have more variety. 🙂

  • Last week, I was diagnosed with celiac disease, so it’s very important for me to find gluten-free options that are easy to find!

  • It is important that I have gluten free and nut free food in my kitchen as I have family members and friends with allergies. I also need the food to taste good which keeps everyone happy.

  • I like having a good selection of lactose free products in my kitchen because half of my family have issues around lactose.

  • It is important for my family to have access to gluten free foods because my daughter gets tummy troubles and we have switched to gluten free and have noticed a difference

  • I am the one who needs lactose free foods and my youngest needs gluten-free products due to our allergies.

  • Yes there are children at my son’s school who have peanut allergies, therefore we are required to send peanut-free lunches & snacks. So of course I want him to have great-tasting products. And I support the peanut-free policy as I would be worried if I was the parent of a child with allergies.

  • My daughter has severe allergies to fish and needs to wear an epi pen. We have had three scary hospital trips when it first came out in 2012 at the age of almost 7. We READ everything when purchasing something new. So it is important to use to have fish free products in our home and school as well as peanut free so she always has the option to bring those products to school.

  • I know people that have celiac’s and it is important to have affordable and available foods for them to eat.

  • I don’t know of any family members with these health issues, however all seem to be disconcertingly common of late.

  • A friend of mine growing up had a severe peanut allergy and one day at school, she had a reaction and almost died!!
Luckily it just so happened that I was sick that day, so I wasnt there to see it, because even hearing about it afterwards was
traumatizing! It left an impression that almost 30 years later is imprinted vividly in my mind!!

  • As of now I do not have to buy lactose, gluten free etc. products but at the same time I will buy them and eat as they are for me just as tasty and I buy what at the time saves me money when grocery shopping. I love making smoothies etc. and I love fruit each day. For those who do need these its great that they are available to them .

  • I like to have these gluten-free and lactose-free products on hand in my home
because I have grandchildren that have allergies and I like to be able to give them
treats too. It’s really important that they can have these nutritious foods when they
    come over.

  • My daughter has a peanut allergy but luckily it isn’t as severe as other kids so it’s good to know there a peanut free foods she can try safely.

  • We are very fortunate that no one in our extended family has food allergies. A friend’s teenage daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease so we do make sure we have gluten-free options for her.

  • I have allergies so, of course, it is important to prepare food that I can eat without suffering the consequences of. Actually, preparing allergen free foods is just one part of the equation of meal prep as I also prepare certain foods to increase their nutrient value or remove phytic acid that interferes with mineral absorption. So, it is not just avoiding allergens that take up time but, also, how to prepare it in a way that is nutrient dense.

  • It’s important to me to have lactose-free foods because my son has a milk protein allergy and I am lactose-intolerant.

  • Even though my daughter is in high school we will abide by the general rules from primary school; no tree nuts, etc so this is a great takeaway breakfast option for both of us. Eating healthier definitely has a huge impact between the mind/body connection.

  • Semi lactose problems.I have a tendency to really swell up and feel ill sometimes.I tend to saty away from lactose.

  • Luckily my family has no food allergies but when not at home we try to be considerate of people that do because when I was in school I had I friend who nearly died due to peanuts!!

  • It’s very important to have tasty nutrient rich gluten-free for my daughter who has a gluten allergy. Label reading is a must as wheat is added to numerous products

  • I need a good selection of peanut-free foods because the kids are not allowed to take anything with peanut in it to school.

  • It is important for me to have access to gluten free items as my sister and BIL both adhere to a GF diet!

  • We try to eat as healthy as possible. Although my kids don’t have allergies, we are conscious of our dairy intake as it sometimes upsets their little tummies.

  • We have nephews and friends with various allergies so we are always cooking and baking with them in mind.

  • It’s important to have delish recipes for my family and friends who have food allergies – it makes eating fun instead of being a burden. It’s so bad when you go out with them and they have restrictions because of the limited options they have.

  • It is important to have gluten free foods because they (family) want to enjoy the same foods as us and I try my best to modify my dishes to suit their needs

  • I have friends and family members that are lactose intolerant and a child friend of my daughter who is deathly allergic to peanuts..scary life for sure.

  • It’s important for me because my niece has a severe peanut allergy, and one of our closest family friends have 2 people with dairy allergies and 2 people with gluten allergies, so we have to be careful what foods we serve.

  • I buy lactose-free products now , as I age I fine I cannot tolerate much dairy anymore 🙁

Thanks for this opportunity to win:)

  • I am a teacher and I see children with severe allergies every day. I also see other children coming to school with snacks that can harm the children with allergies. There needs to be affordable options for parents.

  • We have family and friends with food allergies. There are always kids with allergies at school as well. It’s important that we are mindful of others allergies!

  • While we don’t have any allergies in our house, my kids attend a peanut-free school so it’s important I buy products for their lunch that don’t have peanuts.

  • It is amazing. I have had stomach problems for years. It got so bad I lost 68lb. in 3 Months. They checked everthing and found nothing so my Dr. wanted to put me on antidepressants. I said no and eliminated every thin and found it was gluten. Then I went with a lump in my breast and he said it is probably a shadow. I wanted it checked it was cancer. Go with your own instint and do not go blindly with a Dr. So yes I can`t eat gluten or dairy. LOL long enough for you. LOL
