I recently had the chance to try some of the items from The Honest Company’s hypoallergenic and plant-based body care line for myself. After trying them all out, here are my personal Top 3 Honest Company faves!

1. Air + Fabric Freshener in Lavender Vanilla Scent ($10.99)
With two kids, a dog, and lots of home cooking, sometimes I need a little help to get my house smelling fresh and clean. The Honest Company Air + Fabric Freshener uses zinc salts and pure essential oils to neutralize odours in the air and in fabric, making your home smell great without harsh, synthetic chemicals or masking agents. It’s hypoallergenic, non-toxic, and free of phthalates, synthetic frangrances, CFCs, formaldehyde, benzene, and a whole bunch of other unnecessary nasties.

I chose the Lavender Vanilla scent, and I can’t get enough of this fragrance. I’ve used it to scent the air, and also to freshen my couch, my car, running shoes. I’ve even used a few spritzes to freshen my hair after cooking dinner and as a yummy body spray. Mmm, I love this!

2. Honest Shampoo + Body Wash Sweet Orange Vanilla Scent ($12.99)
Honest Shampoo + Body Wash is a tear-free, hypoallergenic, hydrating, and biodegradable 2-in-1 cleanser. I really like 2 in 1 products. I’m a fan of one less bottle to tip over or take up precious real estate in the corner of the bathtub.

The first ingredient is aloe so you know it’s gentle and soothing on baby’s skin. Coconut oil, chamomile, calendula, jojoba, and quinoa all work to protect and nourish. This shampoo + body wash is scented with essential oils and natural plant extracts that smell just like yummy orange creamsicles in the tub, but rinses clean. My girls don’t smell fruity or soapy after their baths – just clean!

3. Honest Bubble Bath in Tangerine Dream Scent ($14.99)
I love this and my kids love this. They’re always asking for bubbles in the bath, but most commercial bubble baths contain drying and irritating detergents and synthetic fragrances. In contrast, Honest Bubble Bath is free of SLS, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, fragrances, dyes, formaldehyde, MEA, DEA, and TEA. Instead of those things, it’s made with aloe, calendula, chamomile, and organic coconut oil to soothe and moisturize.

Honest Bubble Bath has a very faint citrus scent and makes crazy bubbles. We’ve tried several different kinds of bubble bath in the past, and Honest Bubble Bath, despite not having a whole bunch of additives, keeps its bubbles longer than any of them. Even after half an hour, there are still lots and lots of bubbles left in the tub without any extra agitating.  You really do get a lot of bubbles for your buck, and that means happy kiddos!
