Hasbro is one of the largest toy makers in the world, and they’ve been making quality toys for a long time. They know a thing or two about toys! This holiday season, they’ve got the toys that all the kids want. I was lucky enough to be able to check out two of their hottest toys: Big Hugs Elmo and the Baby Alive Real Surprises Baby Doll. Both toys are winners of the coveted PTPA seal too!
Big Hugs Elmo
You’ve probably already heard of Big Hugs Elmo. This is the hot toy this year, and Keira will be finding him under the tree. Hug your Big Hugs Elmo toy, and he really hugs back! When I opened up the box, I was surprised by just how big this Elmo toy is. At 22″, he’s almost as tall as Keira! Big Hugs Elmo talks, sings, and suggests four different imagination scenarios about astronauts, rabbits, frogs, and horses. He giggles (of course!), and when you lay him down he sings a lullaby then starts to snore. I know Keira is going to be absolutely enthralled.
Baby Alive Real Surprises Baby Doll
Ever since Keira came along last year, Teagan’s been fascinated with taking care of her and pretending to be a mommy. But not surprisingly, Keira isn’t that keen to participate. She’s not interested in lying still while Teagan pretends to change her diaper, and she gets really upset when Teagan tries to get her to lie down for a nap.
Every little girl deserves to have a baby doll, and for Teagan that doll will be the fun, interactive Baby Alive Real Surprises Baby Doll. She shakes her head to show what she wants and doesn’t want. She can say over 30 words and phrases in English or in French, makes eating noises, burps, and giggles when you press her tummy. Teagan will be able to feed her and change her diaper, without any screeching or hair pulling (on the doll’s part at least). And of course her eyes close when you lay her down.
Baby Alive Real Surprises comes with her dress, bib, bottle, bowl, spoon, pacifier, 3 diapers, 3 doll food packets, and instructions. I wonder if I could get some cloth diapers to fit this doll. Grandma?
