I love going green!!
I use reusable make-up removal pads.
We recycle our plastic, glass, metal and cardboard
I have greened my routine by always unplugging my blow dryer and other tools after I get done using them. When you leave things like that plugged in they still suck up a little energy even if they aren’t turned on.
The first step in the green your routine is use reusable menstrual products. There is a lot of waste.
I am taking shorter showers and trying to use towels rather than paper towels when I can.
My family recycles cans, plastic and newspaper.
we recycle, paper,cardboard, glass,flyers/newspapers.
I recycle and have switched all of our light bulbs to energy saving bulbs.
I recycle every piece of paper that enters my house.
My beauty routine isn’t that green but I would like to use some of the ideas from this post. Such as changing my toothbrush to something that is more environmental friendly and has replaceable heads.
My daughter and I have really changed our mindsets about toiletries in the past few years. We only use natural deodorants, toothpastes, pure cotton swabs, wooden combs – and she uses a type of feminine cup. She has stopped shaving altogether, though I’m not quite there yet! π
I finally took the plunge and tried a menstrual cup. It is awesome. I am excited to “green” more of our routine. Cloth diapers were such a gateway to these natural products π
We have been composting and recycling for many years, this is a great article on how to take it a step further by purchasing items that are more environmentally friendly.
Reusable make up pads
I am trying to use less chemicals in my beauty products
I’m trying to use less chemicals. I made my own face scrub and face moisturizer with essential oils and other natural ingredients.
I use brushes that I can clean to apply my makeup, instead of using disposable methods.
I have been wanting to try a menstrual cup π
I use cloth diapers and cloth wipes for my son. I have reuseable menstrual pads and a lily compact for when I get my period back postpartum.
Our attempts are going green involve reusable breast pads, nursing, cloth diapers, and recycling!
I use diapers from the honest company. Also use econuts for laundry. I use vinegar and baking soda to clean with. I make my own baby food.
I like the roominess for toddlers, mine is a tank!
I make my own deo!
For shaving my legs, instead of using shaving cream I will now use straight coconut oil!
We use as little packaging as possible.
I recycle all that I can
I started using mama cloth and I plan on trying menstrual cups sometime, been nervous about that lol. I love going green, alot of things in my life are green.
I think that recycling, reusing and reduction are three factors that everyday we can all do to make a difference.
