Foster Naturals’ Organic, Non-Toxic, and Ethical Baby Care Line

Is it just me, or is the world rapidly becoming more environmentally and socially conscious? It seems like people are more aware than ever of the things they’re putting on and in their bodies—asking where their clothing came from and if the makers were paid a fair wage, demanding transparency in how their products are tested, seeking out lists of ingredients with fewer synthetic chemicals.

“Granola” is going mainstream it seems, and for the sake of our planet and my own family, I couldn’t be happier.

Foster Naturals' baby care line is cruelty-free, toxin-free, locally sourced, and sustainable. From their holistic business practices to their earth-conscious packaging, their love for people and planet is a clear priority in every aspect of their company.

But it’s a tough road we have ahead of us, and change can seem hopeless. But fear not, fellow consumers. Maybe petitioning your lawmakers or writing opinion pieces for the local paper is not your thing, but there is a really simple way we can all take action.

Cast your vote with how you spend your money.

Do you want more options that are free-range, organic, non-GMO, etc.? Spend the extra few bucks on those items at your local store, drive the extra few miles to a retailer that prioritizes wellness and sustainability, or make things even easier and get connected with great companies online.

The more we come together and demand products that are healthy for our bodies and the environment, the more available they will become.

In addition to my own personal investment for my home and family, I truly love the opportunity I have to go the extra mile by getting the word out to all of you. Yes, it’s really fun reviewing products and having an excuse to post cute pictures of my kids, but sharing my findings at This West Coast Mommy is so much more than that. It’s my duty and joy to spread awareness and keep this shift in consciousness going.

Now excuse me a moment while I step off my soap box and get to the real reason you stopped by—the Foster Naturals baby care line!

A little while ago, Olivia had the chance to try Foster Naturals’ eco-friendly hair and home cleaning products. She loved them so much I knew I had to try them too! Foster Naturals has some of the best practices I’ve seen. Their ingredients are cruelty-free, toxin-free, non-GMO, locally sourced, sustainable and more. For the last several weeks I’ve been testing out their 3-in-1 baby shampoo, body wash, and bubble bath and their antibacterial baby powder. Two versatile products that really earn their place in my limited tub and diaper changing space.

Foster Naturals Organic Baby Shampoo, Wash & Bubble Bath

The first thing I noticed about the Baby Shampoo, Wash, & Bubble Bath ($14.99) is how gentle it is on my kids’ skin. It’s full of vitamin-rich oils and doesn’t contain any added fragrance or sulfates. I enjoy giving my babies a little massage with lotion or oil after bath time, but if I’m in a rush it’s okay to skip this step. This shampoo and body wash already locks in a ton of moisture for their sensitive skin.

It’s thicker than many store-bought shampoos, and a little goes a long way. A nickel sized amount will work up a good lather and clean each of my kids—ages 2 and 7 months—from head to toe, plus a capful when I’m running their bath for a tub full of bubbles.

Foster Naturals Talc-Free Baby Powder

The sticky hot August days combined with my daughter’s impossibly cute rolls made a perfect recipe for rashes. Fortunately, the Talc-Free Baby Powder ($13.99) did a fantastic job keeping the redness at bay this summer.

The lavender in it not only smells nice, it’s naturally antibacterial as well. We’ve been using it at nearly every diaper change for Riley, and any trouble spots have healed quickly without the need for extra ointments.

There are only 6 simple ingredients, and with this powder there’s no need to worry about the potentially harmful effects of talc, a staple ingredient in many other brands.

I usually like to give my kids a minute or two to dry out between diapers, so I love the time savings of simply brushing on a bit of powder. It pours easily, and, using your finger tips, you can gently wipe it onto areas that accumulate moisture.

I really don’t think there’s any more I could ask for in natural baby care products. Foster Naturals really has it all, and they also make home and body care items for the entire household.

If you’re feeling the “granola” love like I am, I highly recommend making Foster Naturals a part of your personal investment in environmental and social consciousness.

  • I was lucky enough to have won a prize pack a couple of months ago, which included some household cleaning products from Foster Naturals. We got to try out the Laundry soap, dish soap (which we use as fruit and veg wash and LOVE!), an all purpose cleaner and their shampoo and conditioner. I cannot rave enough about the quality of everything we received. We would absolutely buy all of it in the future! Additionally, I thought is was so wonderfully thoughtful to have someone contact me to ask how I liked everything. Top marks for customer service, for sure!

  • This is one of my favourite natural brands and love that they offer such a variety of products! I haven’t tried the bubble bath yet, so definitely going to pick some up for the kids! Thanks for sharing about such a great company. 🙂

  • Hi Samantha,
I just found your website and am enjoying reading through your posts. I am planning to cloth diaper my baby, and i was wondering if this baby powder is cloth diaper friendly? Do you think it would be a better alternative to baby butt creams? Thanks for your advice!

    • Hi Nicole,
The Foster Naturals powder is cloth diaper safe, and that’s a great question about powder vs. creams. For me personally, it depends on if there’s rash present. The powder is a good preventative measure to use with each diaper change, but if my kids have already developed some redness I apply a cream. A couple of my favorite rash ointments are made by Souris Verte and Balm Baby.

I hope that helps, and good luck on your cloth journey!
