Father’s Day Gift Ideas

When I was a kid, Father’s Day meant handmade cards, ugly ties, and Old Spice cologne. Even now, every time I catch of whiff of Old Spice it takes me back. It smells like Dad!

It’s been 30 years, and some things don’t change. Kids are still making cards with little hammers and ties and baseballs on them, and time spent with Dad is still the best present, but shopping for Father’s Day seems to get harder and harder every year. Sometimes it seems like he already has everything! If you’re feeling a little stuck like me, check out Sears Canada for some Father’s Day gift inspiration this year!

If your guy is anything like mine, the last thing he’ll ever do is buy clothes for himself. With summer on the way, it’s a great time to update Dad’s wardrobe with some cool and casual summer wear perfect for the cottage or camping with the family. Give him a pair of classic chino shorts ($19.97) or chino pants ($29.97) paired with a casual Pima cotton tee ($12.97) or poplin long sleeve shirt ($24.97). Add a pair of comfortable slip on or lace up canvas shoes ($14.99) made for weekend barbecues and kicking back on the deck.

Or if Dad’s all about music, surprise him with a new set of wireless Bluetooth Headphones ($39.99) or a Premium Stereo Bluetooth Speaker ($39.99) with dual speakers, stereo output, wireless Bluetooth transmission, and USB memory. Both connect with a phone or tablet up to 10 meters away (compatible with iOS and Android), so Dad can take his music anywhere this summer.

Speaking of music, check out the upcoming music listings in your area to see if there are any concerts or shows that Dad would love to see and slip a pair of tickets inside your Father’s Day card. Alternatively, lots of cities have free outdoor concerts in the summer that the whole family can attend!

If Dad is more into the great outdoors, check out this Canada 150 metal cooler ($69.97) exclusive to Sears Canada. He’ll love the retro-inspired look perfect for holding his drinks in style at the backyard Canada Day barbecue, not to mention all the family picnics, camping trips, and Little League games this year.

There’s lots more to see at Sears Canada. Connect on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram for more gift ideas this Father’s Day!

  • These are all great gift ideas and I have just recently found that Sears is actually dropping their prices, it seems like Walmart is getting more expensive, all their clothing and shoes keep going up in price, and I was checking Sears out and I feel their prices are dropping, cool!!

  • I actually love the clothes listed here! very stylish and a great dad look. and the cooler is awesome! makes for a great fathers day gift and would get much use for Canada Day and the rest of summer

  • Sears is a great store. It is a store full of nostalgia for me. I am happy they have done some redesigning and hope this new version remains. Funny how some brands can remind us of our childhood. We shopped there all the time with my Mom and when she got older it was one of the only stores I could rely on to treat her with respect and also to be able to find the brands she loved at good prices. There are a lot more stories I could share about how this store endeared itself to me throughout my life but I just wanted to to in and say I can relate to the OLD Spice anecdote too because I always bought that for my uncle and Brut cologne too. Do you remember that one? LOL

  • Good ideas! I’m kinda sad that Sears is struggling financially; they have such great products! I especially love the Canada150 Metal Cooler!
