- This West Coast Mommy

Greetings! My name is Olivia, and I want to welcome you to This West Coast Mommy!

I’m a social worker by trade, wife and mother by choice. I’m lucky enough to be married to my best friend, Chris, and together we’ve created a beautiful family. Tee was born in March 2010, and her little sister Kay entered the world in August 2012. Becoming a mother to two girls has been both the greatest and most challenging work of my life, and the inspiration for starting this website.

This West Coast Mommy

I love living here on the West Coast, a little slice of heaven with the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Coast Mountains on the other. Join me as I blog about our life here in beautiful British Columbia and this parenting journey I’m on. I write about my family, living greener, natural parenting topics like cloth diapering and babywearing, local arts and entertainment, and family travel. You’ll also find product reviews, fun giveaways, paleo-friendly recipes, craft projects, geeky stuff, and whatever else interests me.

When I’m not taking photographs of my kids and the beautiful natural scenery around us, you can find me experimenting in the kitchen or buried in a good book. I’m a little bit geeky, a little bit heavy metal, and partial to 80s fantasy movies, sushi, and science fiction novels.

To keep up with all the good stuff, be sure to stay connected with me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and Bloglovin’, or get the latest posts via email!
